Downeast Acupuncture is an acupuncture clinic, which focuses on Traditional and Modern Japanese Acupuncture, along with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and unique Taoist I-Ching Therapies. Modalities range from Acupuncture, Moxabustion, Chinese Herbology, and Qi Gong. Together we seek to improve the quality of life by empowering the individual to embrace a multifaceted approach to medicine and healing through knowledge and by working in concert with other medical modalities.A little about your practitioners...and our furry greeter
Jason E. Flesh is a licensed acupuncturist in both Maine and New York and holds a Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. His undergraduate work in psychology and anthropology was completed at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Jason incorporates his undergraduate studies with Oriental medicine to emphasize a balanced state of emotional well being; successfully treating a wide variety of mental-emotional concerns.
Amie Bernier is a licensed acupuncturist in Maine, holding a Master of Science of Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Her area of concentration was done in the gynecology department focusing her study on infertility and using cosmo-biological influences to enhance conception rates. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of Southern Maine in South Portland, Maine.
Pearl is a black lab/golden retriever mix breed with a special ability to make everyone feel right at home. She greets everyone as they come through the door and waits with you until your appointment starts. She is great with children; a perfect friend to hang out with while mom or dad is receiving a treatment.
